Ship waves model
The SHIPWAVE 2-D model of propagation and run-up of the long waves caused by a vessel in shallow waters, coastal areas, navigation channels of the ports, based on the shallow wave equations with the specialized wave forcing by the ship hull form. The model is based on the modification of the numerical code of CHEWPCE –CUR model, by adding the moving hull pressure and possibilities for the appropriate ship course and speed set up. It provides possibilities to simulate ship wave run-up on a shore. Special efforts will be developed to increase a computational performance of the model including a moving grid tool, following the ship movement to increase the size of the calculation domain.
